Glogster Projects!! Your Assignnent!




Hey Students,


You will have 2 Glogster projects to complete between now and after Spring Break. Get started on them now so that you will have time to complete them early.


1. Your first Glogster Project will be about "You". You will create Glog that is uniquely You. Include in your Glogster stickers, pictures, videos, and graphics that describe your creativity as well as your personality.

You will need to include at least 5 sticker, 5 pics, 1 to 3 videos and a title. Include birthday, nicknames, favorite colors, favorite songs, favorite movies, favorite foods, games, sports, animals and so on.

2. United States Glogster
Stickers: Add a Stickie (text) by including the following information on each stickie



  • 1. Brief History on how your state was founded and the year it became a state.


  • 2. Economy / Industry

  • 3. Climate


  • 4. Demographics / Populations


  • 5. Places to Visit


  • 6. Fun Facts


  • 7. Resources (a list of where you got your information)

Pictures and Graphics






  • 1. State Quarter


  • 2. State Flag


  • 3. Governor / Lt. Governor include name


  • 4. Capitol Building (State)


  • 5. State Flower


  • 6. State Motto


  • 7. State Tree


  • 8. The largest city

Videos:
-- add 3 videos about your state from Youtube or Schooltube. Remember to use frames around your videos.

Graphic:
-- add graphics to your glog. Make sure your Glog is color coordinated!

Blog question.... Name 5 places in which you would like to visit in your state and why.... Also. list some interesting facts about your state. This question is due April 29, 2011.

Today's Activity!!
Students today you will take a journey around the world to some extreme places. Do you know where the hottest place on Earth is? How about the deepest? Let's set off on an adventure across the Web to learn all about these and other points of extreme geography. Complete the worksheet. Remember to answer today's blog question.

I Am Poem - Poetry Project

Creating an "I AM" Poem

Objective: Students will write and illustrate I Am poems.
An I Am poem is an 18-line, three-stanza poem which students write about themselves, or a real or fictitious character.
When all students have presented their poems to their classmates, the poems will be compiled in a booklet and shared with others. We will also display a copy of the poems in the main hallway. Your "I am" poem should looks like this:

I AM - (in word art)
I am (two special characteristics you have)
I wonder (something you are actually curious about)
I hear (an imaginary sound)
I see (an imaginary sight)

I want (an actual desire)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated)
I pretend (something you actually pretend to do)
I feel (a feeling about something imaginary)
I touch (an imaginary touch)

I worry (something that really bothers you)
I cry (something that makes you very sad)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated)
I understand (something you know is true)
I say (something you believe in)
I dream (something you actually dream about)
I try (something you really make an effort about)
I hope (something you actually hope for)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated)


Microsoft Word Formatting for Poem:

  • Include a page border - make sure the border represents the theme of your poem
  • Include WordArt - The word art must be creative, and customized to fit your topic
  • Insert a photo of yourself - the photo must be taken in class using a digital camera and uploaded into your poem
  • The poem must be centered and one page
  • Include heading and center title of poem
  • Double space your poem after you finish typing it.
Be as creative as possible! Have fun with this project

Type the word that describes you the most 2 times.
Click Go.
You can email your wordle to yourself. Do not print today, we will print later.
