Glogster Projects!! Your Assignnent!




Hey Students,


You will have 2 Glogster projects to complete between now and after Spring Break. Get started on them now so that you will have time to complete them early.


1. Your first Glogster Project will be about "You". You will create Glog that is uniquely You. Include in your Glogster stickers, pictures, videos, and graphics that describe your creativity as well as your personality.

You will need to include at least 5 sticker, 5 pics, 1 to 3 videos and a title. Include birthday, nicknames, favorite colors, favorite songs, favorite movies, favorite foods, games, sports, animals and so on.

2. United States Glogster
Stickers: Add a Stickie (text) by including the following information on each stickie



  • 1. Brief History on how your state was founded and the year it became a state.


  • 2. Economy / Industry

  • 3. Climate


  • 4. Demographics / Populations


  • 5. Places to Visit


  • 6. Fun Facts


  • 7. Resources (a list of where you got your information)

Pictures and Graphics






  • 1. State Quarter


  • 2. State Flag


  • 3. Governor / Lt. Governor include name


  • 4. Capitol Building (State)


  • 5. State Flower


  • 6. State Motto


  • 7. State Tree


  • 8. The largest city

Videos:
-- add 3 videos about your state from Youtube or Schooltube. Remember to use frames around your videos.

Graphic:
-- add graphics to your glog. Make sure your Glog is color coordinated!

Blog question.... Name 5 places in which you would like to visit in your state and why.... Also. list some interesting facts about your state. This question is due April 29, 2011.

Preparing for Your Maryland Travel Show!


Objective: Students will improve researching skill by gathering information on their assigned Maryland destination inorder to prepare for their Podcast presentation.

Today's Assignment:
Each student should have the following in their one page typed presentation. Remember this is your podcast script. Write exactly what you are going to say and how you would like to say it.

Title of your Maryland Destination:________________________

Include all of the following:


  1. The name of their destination.

  2. The location and or address of where to find it.

  3. Information/ facts about your travel destination.

  4. Any cost, fees, or admission price.

  5. reasons why the destination should be visited.

  6. List dates and times of operation.

  7. Include a picture, photo, or clipart of your Maryland travel destination.

  8. Include activities, and/events that your travel destination offers

  9. List seasonal times of operation.

  10. Give reasons why people should visit your destination.

Student who finish, should work on their poems, or may go to www.delicious.com/ms.jefferson. Youtube and any other website not listed on my bookmarking page is not allowed!

Poetry Project - Your Winter Experience!

Here is Today's Assignment!

One of your Technology Projects for this Quarter is to write an original poem. The poem must be typed using Microsoft Word in the computer lab. The poem must reflect curriculum guidelines, be free of errors, and it must be your original work. Your topic or theme must be related to our recent winter weather.

Elements of the poem must include:
· Page Border: in color and represent poem
· Heading: Name, date, class, teacher’s name as on your assignment sheet, correct punctuation, spelling and grammar.

Your Name, Date, Technology Integration Class – Poetry Project, Mrs. Jefferson

· Title: Large font, print in bold, one line, and/or in word art. The subject of the poem must represent “snow” or your winter storm experience.
· Body of poem: should not to exceed one page, must be at least 16 lines, and must be centered.
· Clipart: must represent topic or subject of poem
· The poem must be one page.
· Readable print- not too fancy.
· Color choice is important
· Do not use all Caps!
· You will be graded on originality, creativity, grammar and each element listed above.

Poetry Project is Due March 12, 2010. You may finish and turn in your project before the due date. Remember do not let your projects pile up. There is more to come.

Objective,
Students will develop and enhance keyboarding skills in order to improve their skills with the functions and key strokes of a computer keyboard.
Students will work independently by choosing a site on the the teacher's bookmark site in order to develop internet surfing skills and research skill using the world wide web.

Students, make sure that you start with the home row keys on level one.
2. Go to my bookmark site www.delicious.com/ms.jefferson , here you can choose any site from this page to work on. Please do not go on any site that is not listed on this page.
